Good Things Happen…

…when you put the ball on net.

An old hockey adage that certainly applies to tonight’s football game. I hope England lose so that we can actually enjoy the tournament next year! Beautiful pass by Eduardo - more of that for Arsenal please Mr da Silva.

Second half prediction? There will be fight. There will be passion. There WILL be long balls.

Forza Milano

Back in 1992, AC Milan became the first football I really supported (having grown up an Arsenal fan in the isolated south). I’ll be hoping for a Milan victory tonight! Unlike a certain Myles Palmer who has lost his head lately.

Half Time Update

Ha! Here’s a comment left by a Man U fan on the BBC website at half time:

“We need to throw the kitchen sink at them, they’ll not like it.”

Well there’s a shocker! Frankly, I wouldn’t like it if anyone threw a kitchen sink at me. I’m not sure that’s football though and I’m fairly certain it would be against the rules.

Oh Dear…

On Platini, Sepp Blatter said: ‘The result is no surprise to me. I’m happy I will be working with someone who has the same vision for football as I do.’

Oh dear.
