Looks like it is a cold day down in Weymouth, but we are forecast to have some snow here later today. Hopefully the schools will be closed tomorrow!
Café CouCou

If you’re ever near Saffron Walden, or if you are a food lover anywhere near Europe, Café CouCou is a lovely place to find!
They make home-made cakes that are just plain delicious. And as you can see from the photo, they know that to make a dessert properly English and amazing it needs to be served with a huge dollop of clotted cream. Mmmmmmmm…
Autumn in Harlow

Yes, that’s right, you read correctly. Autumn in Harlow! When the trees turn golden one sees them everywhere around him. When Harlow was in its New Town infancy the planners managed to do something good – they planted trees. They have now grown to complement the old faithful ones that were allowed to remain when the town grew around them.
The photo above was taken at the South end of Allende Avenue, with the Park in the background. From this point, turning 180 degrees provides a lovely walk along an avenue of autumnal trees.

Of course, it has been heavily edited in Photoshop – but what photos aren’t!? I love the final effect of this composition, although my mind knows it is unreal. Or surreal. Or suprareal.
